In the Spring of 1998 a 12-week pilot youth project was set up in Kilkeel. The premises (kindly donated) were laid out in the theme of Star Trek and was called JIMS. The project offered a soft drinks bar, snack food, music, games such as darts, pool and play stations etc.
Since then, JIMS has expanded and grown into the centre that the community calls JIMS. We target youth and adults alike for various programmes. JIMS holds numerous theme events in our new end as well has hosting regular drop-in Friday and Saturday nights each weekend. Check out our programme page for further details.

14th November, 2008, JIMS, Kingdom, and the Net hosted a talent show at JIMS through which over £900 was raised for BBC Chilren in Need! Thank you to all who supported the event!

Boys Nite In is back with a crash! We’ll be having a ‘Burnout 3 Takedown’ competition! Any boys in 1st-3rd year welcome to join for only 50p.

JIMS and Kingdom are spending a day out in Dublin! Day will include a historical walking tour and a few hours at the zoo…all for the lost cost of £8*!
