Becca Dean
Hi! I’m Becca Dean and this is my second year as a Crew member. I’m 24 now and still from Indiana in the U.S., though Kilkeel has become my home as well. Being here for another year has brought new challenges as well as more of the amazing things that brought me back. It was great to get stuck in right away instead of having to take time to adjust to the place and culture as I did last year. I’ve been able to take a bigger role in SU and have enjoyed continuing with mentor groups. I continue to enjoy drop-in and girls’ bible study and have had a lot of fun planning and piloting more events for juniors. My time here has shown me how much I love youth work and I’m excited to see how God continues to grow me this year and wherever I go next.
Kimberly McCallum
At the end of my first year serving on the Crew, I had the opportunity to return to my classroom in Cleveland, Oklahoma. While I enjoyed teaching immensely, I felt like my work here was not yet complete, and so I chose to return and serve as a Crew member for another year. I truly feel that in many ways Kilkeel has become my home. I love the work going on in JIMS and I feel blessed to be a part of it. This second year has brought new challenges, new growth, and new opportunities. I cannot express how privileged I feel to be a part of what God is doing in Kilkeel!
