Due to the current state of the economy, JIMS put on a Credit Crunch Disco on Saturday, 2 May, 2009. Because we “couldn’t afford” the function room, we were back in the drop-in room and charged a discounted price for entrance. The challenge for the night was to find the most hideous outfit from either a charity shop or the backs of the closets at home. Though there were some amazingly awful outfits, the night itself was a blast!

JIMS Youth Centre joined with Kingdom Youth Club on Friday, 17 April on a trip out to Todd’s Leap Adventure Centre. Over 30 young people and staff spent the day competing in various off roading activities to win a trip on a V-8 safari. Though only one team could win, all teams had a fantastic day!

On Saturday, 28th March, JIMS hosted our first ever rodeo night: complete with mechanical bull and everything. The night was a success with excitement from most young people…and there were many new visitors to JIMS Youth Centre that night.
