Another Football Match
There were tears shed from our Man U men, triumphant smiles from the Liverpool snobs, and contentment from the supportive ladies. Saturday night brought our annual viewing of the Champions League final…
Although the majority of youth were heartbroken with the result, there were few rejoicing.
Apparently “FC Barcelona’s victory at Wembley was their fourth European Champion Clubs’ Cup triumph – bettered only by Real Madrid CF, AC Milan and Liverpool FC – and made Spain the most successful country in the competition’s history” (http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/news). So, well done to the winners – and better luck next time to the losers.
In addition to the match itself, JIMS held our legendary BBQ – we weren’t afraid of a little rain. Young and old alike filtered in for the food and fun…and many ladies choose to attend in support of their guy friends.
