Car Wash for BBC Children in Need
Thanks to amazing sun, clear skies, and 20 young people from JIMS and Kingdom, we raised over £200 for BBC Children in Need! All in all, a very fruitful day.
On Saturday morning a group of juniors from JIMS gathered to begin their shift of washing cars. Thanks to Ivan they all learned how to keep their sponges dirt free, what a mud flap is, and to be professionals. The juniors had a great morning washing various cars; the most significant one belonging to Dave McIlveen who had washed his for over a year…
By noon, the juniors had numb toes, red hands, and great attitudes and went home. They were replaced by a brilliant force of youth from JIMS and Kingdom Youth Club. This group once more enjoyed the activity and thoroughly soaked each other.
A quick thanks needs to go to Sarah Johnston and Emma Newell who painted our fantastic advertising board – well done ladies!
At the end of the day, we gladly thank those that brought cars and donated to BBC Children in Need as we raised over £200!

Well done every1, great money raised for a very great cause! It was a well thought of idea and i think it should be carried into next year, because every1 needs their car washed!
