Girls’ Night In: Slieve Roe
On Thursday, 3 December, the ladies from Girls’ Night In gathered to kick off the Christmas festivities at JIMS. We had 24 girls come to spread a little Christmas cheer to the residents at Slieve Roe and then enjoy our own wee celebrations back at JIMS.
At the beginning of this year, this was the theme night that the girls were most excited about. For the past 2 years we’ve made gift bags/baskets for the residents at Slieve Roe, and we continued that tradition again this year. The girls met up at JIMS to put together a bag and sign cards for each resident. We then walked over to Slieve Roe and sang carols with the residents before we passed out the gifts.
Following our outing, we headed back to JIMS to decorate Christmas cookies and enjoy some pizza. Santa also joined us for Slieve Roe and came back to JIMS to pass out some sweets to the girls. The evening definitely helped us get into the Christmas Spirit! Happy Holidays!
