Hillside Drive Team Work

Hillside Drive Team Work

JIMS began our annual Project 6.8 July 19th with team building…on Wednesday the 20th, our team ventured out into the community to shine the love of Christ.

As Micah 6.8 calls believers to live out their faith, our team of 20 served residents throughout Hillside Drive by cleaning gardens, removing rubbish, hosting children’s activities and more.

This year, our juniors rose to the challenge of weeding driveways for three solid days – all the while having outstanding attitudes!

In addition, our token new American fell in love with the chopping of grass and shrubs.

Of course, a favorite part for many youth included our camping out in JIMS the first three nights…there was great bonding and team building throughout various games, chats, baking, and outings.

A few thank you’s must go to the following folks:
~ Our 18+ leaders for putting it together, staffing JIMS in the evenings, and facilitating small work teams
~ Bible study leaders who encouraged and challenged all to grow closer to Christ Jesus
~ The youth who gave of their time to service the community in such a way
~ Ivan Henderson for gathering rubbish each day
~ Newry and Mourne District Council for providing us with the supplies to clean gardens
