Kilkeel’s Got Talent 2009
As hoped for, the talent in Kilkeel turned up on the 13th November at JIMS. The judges were stunning, the host amazing, and the guest stars were unbelievable! We had everyone from Pudsey to Elvis perform their various talents to an outstanding audience.
All together at Kilkeel’s Got Talent we raised over £350 for BBC Children in Need!
As the judges lined up and our host warmed up the crowd, the local talent at JIMS was itching with nerves and excitement. This year, we had 7 interesting acts…all of various skills, shapes, and techniques.
We’d like to once more congradulate Peter Thorogood for winning this year’s Kilkeel’s Got Talent. He rocked up the stage with a musical variety. Our home-grown American judge even commented that the stage at JIMS is just not big enough for Peter Thorogood.
Second place was last year’s brave winner: William Hutchinson. He once more brought his amazing singing voice and guitar skills to life. The Mr Simpson, judge from Kilkeel, said that he would certainly buy a record if William released one!
In third place, we had the drum-soloist: John McGrath. The different talent was welcomed as he performed after two singing talents.
All in all, we had a wonderful night. A special thanks to PUDSEY, Jason Hill, Kimberly McCallum, Damion Sherry, and Gary Simpson for hosting and judging the evening’s festivities. Also, a big thanks goes to our staff that made the show happen: Stanley, Ryan, Kerri, Charlotte, Peter, David, Christopher, Emma J, and Emma N: you were all fantastic staff!
And once more, in total we raised over £350 for BBC Children in Need! Thanks to all of you who gave to this cause!
