Midnight Football Results: Kingdom A
Friday, 28th May, brought with it the final night of midnight football. The home team, Kingdom A, won the knock-out competition; well done guys!
The knock-out tournament was a hit with 6 participating teams. Longstone, The Net, Kingdom B, and Kingdom A all made it into the semi-finals with little effort. The final match involved Kingdom B and Kingdom A; though both teams were tired by this point, they gave it their all.
Anthony Rogers did a great job at managing Kingdom A throughout the whole programme. As league and knock-out winners, the team received a shield for the club, a trophy each, and £10 voucher each to JD Sports. All participants received a medal to take home.
During the final night, Helen from P.I.P.S. joined us in cheering on the various teams. Helen also did the honors of presenting each player with their prizes. In turn, P.I.P.S. was given £136 which was raised by the participants over the duration of the programme. Following presentations, teams and spectators alike enjoyed pizza and chips.
Kingdom Youth Club and JIMS Youth Centre thank the International Fund for Ireland in providing the financial means to deliver such a programme. In addition, both clubs are very grateful to Spar and Asda for sponsoring the tournament by providing food and water.
