Project 6.8 thus far!

Project 6.8 thus far!

With the first week under belt, the Project 6.8 team has enjoyed hanging about building friendships and cleaning up gardens and the Hillside Drive community. Our dozen full-time members have been mowing, weeding, washind windows, and digging up yard.

This year Project 6.8 week 1 has involved cleaning up gardens along the Newry Street area of Kilkeel once more. While preparing for the Project, the JIMS team passed out flyers advertising the FREE work that we’re doing and then made contact with most folks. This allowed us to see folks that we had met over the past two years; we’ve enjoyed continuing to build our relationships with young kids, parents, and the elderly up in the community this past week.

We’d like to acknowledge the under 18’s on our team: they have been incredible serving the community. You younger ones who have weeded all week – thanks for your great attitudes…you’re amazing servants!

To the over 18’s: thanks for your great leadership this year…we’d loved seeing you rise to the challenge this year of leading work teams and taking more responsibility at JIMS throughout the nights.

Thanks all for your great prayers – specially the JIMS management committee! God is doing some amazing things even just on our Project 6.8 team. Also, a huge thanks to our funders for making it possible for us to once more do work up Hillside Drive.

…team members: we’d love you leave us a comment about your experience below…
