Refreshing the Soul
The JIMS ‘team’ spent the first weekend of February in England at a retreat called: Soul Net. We enjoyed a laid back weekend with few worries (those dealt with what to eat).
We came away refreshed, encouraged, challenged, and more tired than when we left…but in a good way.
The retreat was hosted by Soul Survivor…therefore, we were able to engage in praise and prayer in addition to various thoughts from Scripture shared by the facilitators. Each member of the JIMS team gained something different from the weekend away.
In addition to the group gatherings (which included 450+ youth workers from the UK), our team relaxed in the villa, watched tv, ate good food, and shared many laughs. It was a great time for us to be with each other and build upon some relationships.
After leaving Sherwood Forest we traveled into the big city of London. We managed to see Big Ben, Westminster, Canary Warf and much more following a few hours in the car.
We’d like to thank JIMS Youth Centre for providing transport, accommodation, and food – you allowed us to be refreshed in the middle of a busy ministry year.
