Rodeo Night at JIMS
On Saturday, 28th March, JIMS hosted our first ever rodeo night: complete with mechanical bull and everything. The night was a success with excitement from most young people…and there were many new visitors to JIMS Youth Centre that night.
The night was a blast from the wild west days of America. We had a mechanical bull and all – while our cafe ran some great specials on burgers and American fries.
We held a short competiton which involved the talent of bull riding. Mr Jake Campbell won with a high score of 59 seconds! Not only did the young people try their luck, but our JIMS staff had a go [as well as Mr Nugent]. All enjoyed the challenge. But the staff must admit, the JIMS lady volunteer(s) beat the boys…well done all!
For those who dressed up American style, well done!
