Todd’s Leap

Todd’s Leap

JIMS Youth Centre joined with Kingdom Youth Club on Friday, 17 April on a trip out to Todd’s Leap Adventure Centre. Over 30 young people and staff spent the day competing in various off roading activities to win a trip on a V-8 safari. Though only one team could win, all teams had a fantastic day!

Our group was split into 4 teams that rotated around the different activities. During one session, the members of each team tried to outdo one another in paintball target shooting. Each person also got the chance to drive a 4×4 off roading, which was a blast! Later, teams played a game where they drove a JCB digger and searched for a buried tire. Another activity involved each member of the teams taking turns driving a landrover while blindfolded. They had to try and listen to the teammates who were giving correct diretions while everyone else was screaming wrong directions at them.

After lunch the teams participated in group games where they had to work together. The final task, called Night Line, involved the teams negotiating through an obstacle course together while blindfolded. They walked across planks, crawled through tunnels, and tried to avoid trees and brambles. Everyone got a bit dirty but really enjoyed themselves! We’re looking forward to going back again in the future!

It was an absolute blast!  Would certainly recommend it for a group day out…

And it was fantastic beating the boy(s) at paint-balling and driving…way to go Anna from our team!
