What a night, drums, horns and an electric atmosphere! There were over 80 supporters who turned up, and some even supported Chelsa! This great event in the spring of 2008 was widely embraced by the youth of Kilkeel. JIMS hosted the place for high excitement and a safe space to join in chanting at the teams competing in the Champion’s League Final.
The pre-game BBQ at JIMS was buzzing with high hopes for both teams…though the Manchestor United fans were certainly in higher attendance. The JIMS team is very thankful for the new facilities that provided a place and technology for hosting the entertainment at JIMS. The JIMS team was pleasantly surprised at the 80 plus supporters – all who had great attitudes and wonderful craic! We even had a few adults in attendance who equally participated in the loud yelling at the teams on the screen in hopes that in some miraculous way their voices would offer encouragement to the athletes competing.
